    1945年潍北县民主政府设立司法科。1946年潍南县设立司法科。1948年7月，潍县司法科成立。1950年，司法行政工作由县法院兼管。1980年10月成立潍县司法局，下设办公室、法制宣传股和基层调解股。1981年增设法律顾问处和公证处。1984年改称潍坊市寒亭区司法局。1986年各乡镇均设司法助理员。
