    1978年底，涌泉公社成立沸石加工厂。次年采掘加工1万吨，利润3万元。1982年，产量达到1.5万吨，利润5万元。1983年开始。个体、联合体在缺乏机械设备情况下，纷纷加入采掘，年产量达3万吨以上。因缺乏管理，涌泉一带沸石矿区遭较大破坏，浅层矿区被挖，深层无人顾及，土地浪费严重。1984年，沸石矿区归属坊子区。
