    坊子区位于山东省中部偏东， 山东半岛西侧，潍坊市区东南部。东经119°
03′～11 9°26′，北纬36°30′～36°45′。东与昌邑县以潍河为界，西邻潍
城区；南和安丘、昌乐两县毗连，北同寒亭区接壤。
    东西最大横距33.5公里， 南北最大纵距26公里，总面积361.7平方公里，占
潍坊市总面积的2.1%。
    治所坊子镇居区境西部。北去潍坊市人民政府驻地(潍城)13公里，西距山东
省会济南194公里。胶济铁路(复线) 、济(南)青(岛)高速公路穿越区境，潍(坊)
石(岛)公路横跨东西，潍(坊)徐(州)公路纵贯南北。
