    境内工业固体废弃物主要是尾矿渣、锅炉渣、化工渣、冶炼渣及硫化渣。1986～1990年，境内工业固体废弃物总量为150万吨，处置率为90%，综合利用率为10%左右。1991～1995年，全市工业固体废弃物总量856万吨，综合利用329万吨，综合利用率为38.4%。1996～2000年，全市工业固体废弃物总量为1059万吨，综合利用916万吨，综合利用率为86.5%。2002年，固体废弃物总量205.03万吨，尾矿量最大，为181.8万吨，占总量的88.7%，其中综合利用量为111.13万吨。
