    境内化学纤维制造业只有招远市石油化工厂。该厂成立于1989年11月，原为招城镇镇办企业，后改为股份制企业，年产聚丙烯1万吨，VBL荧光增白剂600吨，氯化石蜡1000吨。生产的抽丝级聚丙烯经国家技术监督部门连续6年抽样检验，均符合国家标准。2002年，生产聚丙烯树脂23980吨，工业产值14388万元。
