    清光绪二十二年(1896)，天主教传入。1913年法国人安胜木于城内文华街
创立天主教堂，时有教徒15人。
    1932～1938年为天主教发展盛期，先后建立平山纪家、李家、大孙家、
依家庄、韩家、大辛店6个堂口，教徒300多人。
    1941年，天主教活动停止。
    1989年5月，开设徐家集镇平山纪家村天主教堂。1990年12月， 开设徐家
集镇大孙家村天主教堂。1991年底，全县天主教徒发展到315人。
