    1959年3月成立蓬莱县科学工作委员会，6月改称蓬莱县科学技术委员会；
1962年撤销(县委宣传部兼理科技工作) ；1964年7月恢复。1966年"文化大革命"
运动开始后机构瘫痪。1970年5月， 成立蓬莱县革命委员会生产指挥部科学
技术办公室；1971年1月，改称蓬莱县革命委员会科学技术办公室；1977年12
月， 改称蓬莱县革命委员会科学技术委员会；1980年12月，复称蓬莱县科学
技术委员会。1991年，县科学技术委员会设办公室、科技科、情报资料科、
技术市场管理科、地震科，有工作人员14人；辖20处乡镇科学技术委员会。
