    建国初， 统计工作由县人民政府设专人负责。 1953年4月始设统计科。
1956年3月，统计科改称计划统计科；9月复称统计科。1958年5月，统计科并
于计划委员会。
    1981年2月，成立蓬莱县统计局。1991年统计局内设农工股、综合股和办
公室，有工作人员17人；辖农村经济抽样调查队和20处乡镇统计站。
