    建国初，蓬莱县国民经济和社会发展计划管理工作由统计科负责。1955
年1月，县人民政府成立计划委员会。1959年6月，计划委员会改称经济计划
委员会。"文化大革命"开始后，机构瘫痪。1971年1月，县革命委员会成立计
划办公室。 1978年7月撤销计划办公室，成立计划委员会。1991年县计划委
员会下设办公室、综合科、基建科、工业科和经济信息计算中心，共有工作
人员16人。
