    1951年3月，中国人民保险公司于蓬莱县设特约代理处。1952年10月， 中
国人民保险公司蓬莱县支公司成立，设正、副经理各1人，会计1人。1953年8
月撤销，保险业务停办。1956年恢复保险业务后，由中国人民银行蓬莱县支
行代理。1958年5月，保险业务改由县财政局代理。1958年12月，保险业务再
次停办。1981年， 恢复保险业务，仍由中国人民银行蓬莱县支行代理。1984
年3月， 中国人民保险公司蓬莱县支公司成立。1991年，公司设人事秘书科，
计划财务科，业务一、二、三、四科和综合业务科，有工作人员31人。
