    1955年5月，人民检察署改称人民检察院，进一步加强行使监所检察职权。
至19 66年12月，发现看押、管理人员严重思想麻痹事件15起， 查出在押犯
重新犯罪39起。1978-1991年，发现错押1人，纠正无证羁押和超期羁押等违犯
法律规定32次，发现在押人犯重新犯罪2起2人，发现不安全因素54起，排除
重大隐患51起；促使在押人犯坦白余罪，检举犯罪线索128条。
