    1957年12月成立蓬莱县科学技术普及协会。1959年3月， 改称蓬莱县科学
技术协会。1962年撤销。1979年9月重建。之后，各公社、行政村、 厂矿企
业单位相继建立科学技术协会，各行业相继建立专业学术研究团体。
    1991年，县科协内设办公室、科普部、学会部、咨询部；辖 20 处乡镇
科协，584个行政村科协、5个厂企单位科协和各卷专业学术研究团体(学会、
协会、 研究会)19个。
