    莱阳地处胶东半岛中心，历史悠久，其风俗习惯，随着不同历史时期社会制度的变革、人民生活条件的改变及外来影响而发生变化。
    解放后，半殖民地、半封建社会制度被社会主义制度取代，人民群众当家做主，生活条件逐步改善，新的风俗习惯在逐步形成。但新风俗的繁衍变化是离不开旧风俗母体的，因此，为明其渊源，对一些旧时的风俗，仍予以适当记载。
