    1647年(清顺治四年)规定，凡买田地房屋，按价银每两纳税3分。1906年(光绪三十二年)，买契税为3.6%，典契税为1.8%。1909年(宣统元年)卖契征银9分，买契征银6分。
　　民国初期，卖契税为9％，典契税为6％。后卖契按6%、典契按3%征收。另外，民国时期还征收契纸小学教育附加、中学经费附加和建设五厘捐等附加税。
