    每年农历五月初出现大潮流，常给海水养殖生产造成灾害。此时，正值海带成熟待收之际，浮绠负荷较重，大流一旦将撅子(打入海底的木桩)拔出，海带连同浮具即随流漂走。
    1982年，小钦岛养殖队的245南海带被大流卷走，经济损失30万元。
