    60年代前，海岛施工设备简陋，使用木质脚手架。瓦工工具有瓦刀、锤子和泥板。木工工具有斧、锯、凿、推刨和锛等。70年代，垂直运输以铁制井字架和卷扬机取代了木抱杆和搅磨。木工开始用电锯、电刨和电凿等工具，组装基本形成了流水线。施工现场有搅拌机、卷扬机、打夯机、震动机、电汽焊、铁制脚手染和混凝土钢模等设备。1980年，垂直运输使用塔式吊车。
