    1956年，县政府驻南长山岛寺后村。1963年，以乐园村为中心，东至后沟村，西至鹊嘴村定为城辖区，面积为3.6平方公里。1982年，县城开始总体规划，北自南城村，南至乐园村前口湾，东至烽山西侧，西至鹊嘴村信号山西侧为城区，含南城、荻沟、鹊嘴、乐园、后沟5个村，总面积为5.5平方公里。
