      1978年后，境内医疗事业快速发展，医疗队伍不断壮大。1979年，全县有医务人员861人，到2000年，增至2739人，是1979年的3.18倍。其中，综合医院有医务人员1600人，专科医院有医务人员265人，基层有医务人员874人。医务人员中，西医1322人，中医122人。
