    1983年始，计生服务主要开展两项工作。普查普治妇科病。对查出的子宫肌瘤、卵巢瘤、子宫内膜炎、宫颈炎、阴道炎、阴道息肉、乳腺腺瘤、乳腺腺叶等病症，给予及时治疗。开展优生优育服务。孕前一个月孕后3个月增补叶酸，预防神经管畸形；孕前3个月注射疯疹疫苗，进行巨细胞测试；唐氏综合症可在孕早期发现，及时终止妊娠，防止先天愚型病残儿出生；对不孕症妇女普查普治。
