      一、区划变更承办　
        区划管理主要负责区划变更的申报批复等，由民政局承办。1981年以后先后承办改公社为乡镇、撤销牟平县改设牟平区及莱山、解甲庄两镇划出等。
        二、边界勘定　
        1995年，由民政局牵头对牟平区总长280公里的边界进行勘定工作，次年结束。埋设界桩30个，编绘边界图51张。
