    牟平县民间音乐内容丰富，形式多样，地方风味浓厚。
    1985年，文化馆组织人员深入到82个村，对民间流传的乐曲进行挖掘整理，计有《鸳鸯扣》、《送情郎》、《将军令》、《四大景》、《大开门》、《小开门》、《桃李迎春》、《老茉莉花》、《探亲家》、《大雪门》、《二句半》、《哭灵棚》、《小金坠》、《太平调》、《寡妇思》等60多个曲目。其中《鸳鸯扣》、《将军令》、《大开门》、《小开门》等器乐曲，在牟平流传较普遍，优美动听。
