    1962年12月，牟平县市场物价委员会成立，1966年2月改为牟平县物价委员会。“文革”期间，物价机构撤销，物价工作先后由计统局、计划办公室、计划委员会负责。1980年9月，牟平县物价局成立。1985年，有职工6人，其中正副局长2人，调研员1人。
