      牟平的金属包装工业始于80年代。产品主要有货箱、油罐、酒罐、啤酒桶等。至1985年，全县有4家，其中乡办1家，村办2家，个体办1家。
        牟平县铝制品厂，大窑乡办。1981年生产30Kg铝制啤酒桶新产品。1985年，职工256人。固定资产原值87万元。有350型专用设备43台。年产啤酒桶1550个。产品销往沈阳、大连、伊春、烟台等市。
