      一、地毯
        牟平地毯加工兴于本世纪70年代，盛于80年代。多给威海地毯一厂、二厂和武宁绒毯厂加工。全县各乡镇均有加工点，村办为多，微利经营。
        二、绒毯
        1982年武宁公社办牟平县绒毯厂，固定资产28万元。有梳毛机、粗纺毛机、纬编机等12台。生产地毯和里子绒。1985年改为生产驼绒，年产11.5万米，产值63.9万元，利润7.1万元。产品销往烟台市各县。
