    1941年11月，牟平县抗日民主政府秘书室设人事干事1人。1946年秘书室设干事股，工作人员2人。1951年，县政府设人事科，副科长1人，科员5人。1956年1月，更名县人民委员会人事科，科长工人，科员5人。1967年3月，改名县革命委员会人事调配组，次年10月，并入县革委政治部组织组，1978年4月。县革命委员会人事局成立，设正副局长各1人，科员8人。1980年5月，改名牟平县人事局。1985年，人事局设正副局长各1人，科员9人。
