本县自1954年起，按照国家规定，对国家机关及企事业单位工作人员，实行公费医疗制度。当年享受
公费医疗者4288人，开支7.8万元。1965年，县成立公费医疗管理领导小组.1978年后，实行经费包干管
理办法，每年经费略有节余，受到省、地(市)表扬和奖励。1980～1985年，山东省财政厅先后四次发
给公费医疗奖金15万元。
