民国8年(1919年)，全县总人口中，男性为153234人，占53.21％；女性为134761人，占46.79％。男性为
女性的113.7％。建国后，性别比例呈起伏状态。1953年，男性为226511人，女性为238502人，女性为男
性的105％。 1964年，男性为282508人，女性为281889人，男性为女性的100.2％，性别比例接近平衡。
1983年，男性为347874人，女性为340538人，男性为女性的102.15％，男性比例又趋上升。
