    1939年（民国28年）12月6日，日军独立第五混成旅团步兵第十九大队第四中队入侵栖霞城，盘踞5年之久。
    该部通常百人左右，少时五六十人，历任队长有市村、中岛、柴山、梅元等。曾派出3个班分守寨里、杨础和观里三据点。至1944年春，各派出班全部撤回县城。同年12月14日，被迫逃窜。
