    1947年8月，根据胶东支前司令部指示，县成立短途支前运输支队。支队辖3个大队，计民工2610人，配备手推车1千辆。自17日开始，从烟台把大批军需民用物资转移到栖、福边区，又把大批粮食从根据地送到烟台装船，运往东北解放区。
