    1979年，首次使用西玛津、绿麦隆防除玉米、花生等农田杂草。1981年，玉米化学除草达22500亩。1983年，化学除草剂品种增多，有拉索、西草净、除草醚、西玛津、陶特拉津、除草剂1号、24—D丁脂等。全区小麦、玉米、地瓜、花生、水稻、蔬菜等农作物实行化学除草，面积达30余万亩，防效90%以上。
