    宋、元时期，境内即有佛教、道教。清代后期相继传入天主教、基督教、伊斯兰教。其中规模最大、影响最广、教徒最多的为基督教和天主教，先后有14个国籍的81名神职人员来境内传教，教徒多时达13000余名。道教、佛教仅有少量职业性住庙道士和尼姑。
