    1986年，全县民兵总数为19549人，其中基干民兵4484人。“九五”期间，
在调整基干民兵组织规模时，将人员压缩到2300人（含民兵应急分队220人），
2000年又由2300人增长2460人。普通民兵组织一般以乡（镇）为单位编营，
村民委员会编民兵连、排。2002年，全县有基层民兵营11个，民兵连349个，
民兵总数为16090名。
