    建国后，境内基层供销社采购站开始回收废旧物资。20世纪60年代，随着胜利油
田的开发建设，废旧物资量增多。建区后，1988年5月成立河口区废旧物资回收公司
(翌年更名为河口区再生资源公司)，之后，废品收购站增多，网点遍及城乡。收购的
废品有废旧铜、铁、铅、锡、铝、塑料、麻纸、橡胶、毛皮等百余个品种。1985～2
000年，年均收购各类废旧物资8600吨，其中1998年收购10000吨，2000年收购8000吨
。
