    集体所有制工业企业是河口区工业的主体。1984年，以乡镇工业为主的工业均为
小型加工业，全区共有集体工业企业9个。建区后，区委、区政府把发展集体工业企
业作为振兴地方经济的重点来抓，集体工业的发展速度加快。1990年全区集体工业企
业24个，1991～1996年，集体工业处于高速发展时期，1996年全区集体工业企业45个
。1997年集体工业企业进行以整顿、治理、提高经济效益为重点的改革，部分企业破
产或关停、转制，集体工业企业减少到20个。2000年，全区集体工业企业有9个。
