    建区前，境内教育属广饶、垦利、博兴三县教育部门管理，各公社设教育组。建
区后，东营区、牛庄区均成立文教局，各公社设教育组。撤社建乡后，各乡镇设教育
组。两区合并后，成立东营区教育局，设办公室、政工股、财务股、普教股、职教股、
区招生委员会办公室、 仪器站、区教学研究室，工作人员35人。1993年7月更名为东
营区教育委员会，增设托幼办公室，财务股改称计财股，其余设置未变，工作人员32
人。1994年11月，撤销乡镇教育组，建立乡镇教委。1997年，区教委内部设置未变，
工作人员42人；辖乡镇教委8个，工作人员43人。
