    1984年，境内工业管理工作分别由东营区经济委员会和牛庄区经济委员会负责。
两区合并后，成立东营区经济管理委员会，内设办公室、财务股、生产股、企业管理
股、安全办公室。1993年10月机构改革后，经济委员会与技术监督局合并，改称东营
区工业委员会， 设办公室、 技术监督办公室、生产股、计量所、质检所、仪器站。
1997年8月，技术监督办公室从工业委析出，独立设局。工业委内设办公室、财务股、
生产股、企业管理股、职教中心、信息中心。
