    东营区位于山东省北部， 黄河三角洲腹地。是东营市中心区。地跨东经118°12
′42"～118°59′52"， 北纬37°14′13"～37°31′57"。东濒渤海，西依黄河、与
利津县隔河相望，南接广饶县、滨州地区博兴县，北邻垦利县。海岸线长26.7公里。
区境东西最大横距67.5公里，南北最大纵距26.5公里。总面积1155.62平方公里。
    城区北距垦利县城15公里，西距利津县城20公里，南距广饶县城50公里，西南到
省会济南220公里，西北到首都北京450公里。
