    1928年，滕县建法院，内设检察署，署内设首席检察官和检察官，1937年解散。
    1951年9月11日，滕县人民检察署成立。1954年12月18日，改称滕县人民检察院。1968年，公、检、法实行军管，三机关合署办公。1975年根据《宪法》规定：取消检察机关，其职权由公安机关行使。1978年10月，滕县人民检察院重新建立。1987年，检察院下设刑检一科、刑检二科、经济检察科、法纪检察科、监所检察科、控告申诉检察科、政工科、调研室、办公室。
