    清末本地区兵役制度多为招募制，地方官府设立招兵处，所有男性平民，不分长幼，只要身体健康，皆可应招。招兵处根据战事需要，有的长期募用，有的则参战后，即解甲归田，随用随招募。辛亥革命后，直奉系军阀亦采用招募制。
