    建国后，公共建筑用地由民政部门审批。从1975年开始，审批手续由区基建局负责办理。1978年后，凡征用土地均由征用单位呈递报告，由区基建局（后称建委）复查，区政府审定，报市批准。从1980年开始，用地20亩以上者要报省批准；征而不用超过两年者，由区建委另作安排。1975～1985年，全区公共建筑征用土地计1217亩，其中台儿庄城区占800余亩。
