    清末至民国时期，台儿庄地区运河段除渡口运客外，无水上专业客运。据调查，皆为客货混运，客随货走，间有搭乘者。1950年，济宁航运办事处韩庄航运站开设韩庄至台儿庄客船，每班木帆船4～5只，每只运客8～14人。1966年，枣台公路通车后逐年减少，1976年台张公路通车后停运。1972年始，徐州轮船公司淮阴轮船站开设淮阴至台儿庄日班客轮，客位60个，1980年台（儿庄）邳（县）公路通车后停运。
