    1976年5月，区革委会投资380万元兴建台儿庄区化肥厂，厂址位于邳庄村南潍徐公路东侧，占地135亩。1977年7月，全部设备安装完毕，8月5日试车投入生产，当年生产氨水6470吨。1979年增建合成塔1座，使年产合成氨达到5000吨的生产能力。1984年春，化肥厂投资140万元对合成系统设备进行改造，1985年，生产能力提高到7500吨。
