    境内山场广阔， 沟壑纵横，梯田地堰重迭，构成丰富的天然草场。全县有100多万亩荒山草坡，其中万亩以上草场10处。草类有黄白草、白羊草、结缕草、狗尾草、野古草、鸡眼草、百里香、马齿苋、胡枝子、猪毛菜等70余种野草，年产鲜草7956万公斤，加上大量农作物的秧、叶、秸杆，全县总载畜量可达12万个黄牛单位。
