    1984年以前，区内无独立的审计机构。审计工作由财政、税务、银行等部门
分别办理。1984年1月，区审计局成立，编制8人。1985年10月，设区审计事务所，
为区审计局下属事业单位。1999年12月，区审计事务所改制为淄博众胜有限责任
会计师事务所。至2002年底，区审计局内设办公室、法制科、经济责任审计办公
室、行政事业金融审计科、固定资产投资审计科和企业审计科，编制26人。
