    2000年，第一家韩资企业——现宇公司进入临淄外商工业园投资建厂。2001
年7月， 淄博太勋塑料有限公司及淄博韩承塑料有限公司、淄博东方塑料有限公
司建成投产。4家企业均为韩资独资企业，总投资1000万美元，占地面积6.8万平
方米，职工1500人。
    截至2002年底， 全区有外资独资工业企业4家，全部为塑料加工工业，年出
口创汇3000万美元，工业总产值2.6亿元。
