    临淄道教历史悠久，东汉为兴盛时期，以后与佛教互相排斥斗争，又互相渗
透借鉴，形成了多神教。把自然现象加以人格化而崇拜为神，又把历史名人神化
而信奉，直至明清其活动从未间断，所建庙观颇多。据民国九年《临淄县志》载，
北齐时在今临淄西关建天齐观，宋代在西关、孙娄建三元阁、八仙阁，元代在大
夫观、龙观、东古城建洞真观、犹龙观、修真观，现庙观已无存。信仰者也逐渐
消失。
