    1939年7月7日，临淄县抗日民主政府在四区大夫店成立。辖15区区公所。县
抗日民主政府办事机构设秘书科、民政科、财粮科、司法科、教育科、武装科。
有工作人员20余人。流动驻于大夫店、东单、张王、魏家村一带。
    1941年2月，抗日形势恶化，县抗日民主政府转移博兴县境活动。1945年8月，
日军投降后，进驻临淄县城。下属各区改称高阳区、路山区、苇河区、城关区、
牛山区、龙池区、淄东区。
