    1930年8月，军阀韩复榘之军在临淄县城设长途电话局，人员4名，次年撤离。
1932年，民国县政府在县城城隍庙内设电话事务所，人员7名。1938年1月撤销。
    1946年，国民党县政府在县城重建电话局。1948年3月，随国民党军队撤逃。
    1948年5月， 人民解放军在县城设电话站，管理军、政专用电话，初属渤海
军区张店总站，后属淄博军分区，1951年交地方政府。
