    1948年临淄解放，县人民政府设实业科，兼管交通运输。1953年撤销实业科，
由昌潍专署派一人专门管理交通运输。 1956年3月，设立临淄县人民委员会交通
科， 人员4人。1958年8月，县工业科与交通科合并，称县工业交通局。1967年7
月改称工业交通组。 1970年5月改为区工业交通局。1972年10月，区工业局、交
通局分设。1985年，局内设办公室、人秘股、财务股、路政股，人员增至83人。
