    香椿属楝科，落叶乔木，分布于石门、岭西、乐瞳、八陡、源泉、李家、池
上等十多个乡镇。椿芽味道别致，香味浓郁，除富含蛋白质外，还含磷、钙、铁
和维生素C等，是一种上好的蔬菜。椿木红润，富有光泽，纹理清楚，性质稳定，
耐虫蛀，抗腐蚀，易加工，是上等木材。椿树种子叫香铃子，可入药。1985年，
全区年产椿芽26万斤左右。石门乡夹山村的椿芽更是肥美鲜嫩，闻名遐迩，畅销
香港等地。
